Trish MS Foundation

The Trish Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation has very specific aims for the research projects for which the money is being raised. The Foundation is focused on achieving its goal, all our research funds being put towards an ultimate cure, in other words myelin protection, repair or restoration.

The Foundation is very determined to work hard and raise a great deal of money for research in the hope that others will not have to suffer as Trish Langsford did. If the legacy that Trish leaves has been a cure for this debilitating disease, she will not have suffered in vain. The Foundation was set up because, watching Trish suffer in the nursing home with end stage MS, her family and friends decided to establish a Foundation named after Trish with the specific goal of working towards finding a cure for MS and eventually prevention.

World Vision

The best way to change a child's life is to change the world in which they live.
By sponsoring a child, we help to bring about long-term benefits to the child, their family and community. Our support will help to fund vital development work in the child's community, such as digging wells, improving sanitation and building health clinics.

This work ensures that the child’s community is able to provide the children with the basics they need, in turn helping them to grow up in a healthy environment and have the chance for a better future.

Star Source has been a long term supporter of World Vision and has sponsored five children over the past 20 years:

Australian Orangutan Project

Around the globe, the orangutans' rainforest is disappearing at an overwhelming rate with remaining forests being degraded by drought and forest fires. It is estimated that in 2010 the Sumatran Orangutans are likely to be extinct in the wild, followed closely by the Bornean Orangutans in 2015. We need to recognise the massive amount of suffering being inflicted on a species that is 97% genetically identical to humans.

Orangutans are highly intelligent animals. Their intelligence is comparable to that of a five or six year old child. At Star Source we feel very strongly that these self-aware animals deserve the right to live and to be free from torture and exploitation. Protecting the orangutan also protects the surrounding ecosystem and myriad of endangered and exotic species. Saving the orangutan saves the forest.

CarlosCarlos - Borneo Orangutan infant

Carlos is from the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Reintroduction Project located outside Palangka Raya, Borneo, Indonesia
